VPNRC Subscription Setup Guide

Follow the steps to create an account, choose a plan, and import the subscription into a client. Then verify the connection by accessing a site, rather than relying on the connection icon alone.

Interfaces vary between operating systems and client versions. The steps below refer to features such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import from URL.” The exact button labels may differ in your client. If you cannot find a matching label, look for the feature that serves the same purpose.

This page covers the essentials. For route basics, advanced configuration, and ongoing maintenance, read the Complete Guide. For specific errors, visit the Help Center.

Create an account and open the dashboard

Start at the account page on VPNRC. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username you can keep track of and set a unique password. Make sure both entries are correct, then follow the page instructions to finish creating your account. Do not enter your account password in the client’s subscription URL field: they serve different purposes. The password is for signing in to the user dashboard; the subscription link provides the client configuration.

After creating your account, open the user dashboard and check that you can see the account overview, plans, and client downloads. If you are still on the sign-in page, log in with the username and password you saved. If you already have an account, use the login page instead; there is no need to create another one. Keep your plan, orders, and subscription under the same account.

You’re ready to move on when you can open the dashboard—not when you can connect to a route. Save your login details before choosing a plan. If you run into an error while creating an account or signing in, keep the error message and check the account and subscription help. Hide your password and other account credentials in screenshots.

Choose a plan and review your order

Open the Plans section of the user dashboard and compare monthly plans with data packages. Monthly plans are suited to ongoing use, with data resetting each month from the activation date. Data packages are valid until used and never expire. Choose based on how often you use the service and how much data you need—not just the number of devices. VPNRC allows unlimited simultaneous devices, but their data usage is still managed by your selected plan.

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. If you’re comparing options, check the billing details on the Plans and Pricing page, then return to the dashboard to choose. If you upgrade a monthly plan partway through its term, the price difference is prorated by the remaining days. Check the order details shown in the dashboard before submitting.

After selecting a plan, check that its name, price, and data allowance are what you expect, then create the order as prompted in the dashboard. Payment is supported through Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Follow the instructions on the current order page; do not reuse payment details from another order. After paying, return to the dashboard to check the order result and plan status. A completed payment redirect does not mean the client has automatically received its configuration.

You’re ready to move on when the dashboard confirms that your plan is active. If the status has not updated after payment, refresh the order or overview and check that you are signed in to the right account before submitting anything again. For help, keep your order details and explain the issue through a dashboard support ticket. VPNRC offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for details.

Get your subscription from the dashboard

Once your plan is active, return to the user dashboard overview and find the subscription section. The subscription link lets your client retrieve route configuration; it is not a regular web page or an installer. If the dashboard offers automatic import, you can use it once the client is installed. If your browser does not open the client, copy the link and import it manually instead.

Use the copy button in the dashboard to make sure you get the full link. Do not copy the address of the overview page from your browser, or use a snippet from a chat message. In the client, paste the link into a field such as “Subscription URL” or “Import from URL.” If the field asks for a configuration file path, you are not in the link import section.

Your subscription link contains account access credentials. Keep it private and do not post it in public forums or ask others to check it there. Hide the full link in any screenshots you share. If you think the link has been exposed, look for a reset or update option in the user dashboard and follow the instructions. After changing it, update the subscription details in your own client too.

You’re ready to move on once you have the subscription for your account and can import it into a client—not when you see a block of configuration text in your browser. To learn more about the difference between subscription links and configuration files, read How to Get, Import, and Update a Subscription Link. Continue with the steps for your operating system.

Import into a client for your platform

Get the download link from the client downloads section of the user dashboard. Do not use the account page URL as an installer link. After signing in, you can download clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux. The iOS download link requires a valid, unexpired plan. Downloading a client and getting a working subscription are separate steps; you still need to import the configuration after installation.

If you’re new to the service, start with the VPNRC client and import method provided in the dashboard. If other compatible options are listed, choose a client that supports the subscription format. Similar names do not mean different formats are interchangeable. The steps below show where to import on each platform. In every case, a successful import should appear in the configuration section and load a list of routes by region.

Windows: Import from the Subscription or Configuration section

Choose the Windows client in the downloads section, download it, and follow the installer to launch the app. Open the Subscription or Configuration management section and look for an option such as Add Subscription or Import from URL. Paste in the full link you copied from the dashboard. Give it a name that’s easy to recognize, save it, then update or refresh the configuration.

If your browser asks whether to open the client, verify that it is the right app before continuing. If automatic import does nothing, leave the client open and import the link manually. After the subscription name appears, check that the routes have loaded too. An empty configuration entry by itself usually does not mean the import is complete. Once the routes appear, select the configuration, leave the default settings in place for now, and continue to the connection check.

macOS: Open the client, then add the link

Choose a client for your Mac in the dashboard and follow the installation instructions. Open it from Applications once it is installed. If macOS asks you to confirm the first launch, check the app’s source and the system prompt, then follow the available instructions. Do not change unrelated system settings just to complete the import.

Open the client’s Configuration or Subscription management screen, choose an option to add a URL or link, then paste in your subscription and save it. Refresh the configuration if needed. Some clients put configuration management in the main window; others have it in the menu bar. Look for subscription management rather than pasting the link into macOS network settings. Once the route list appears and the configuration is enabled, choose a route in the connection section. If macOS asks for network permission, follow the client’s current prompt.

Android: Add your subscription and refresh after installation

Download the Android client from the dashboard and follow the system instructions to install it. If Android asks whether to allow installation from the current source, verify that the download came from the user dashboard, then follow the prompt. Open the client, go to Configuration, Subscription, or Add Configuration, choose Import from URL, and paste in your subscription link. Save it.

Refresh the subscription and wait for the routes by region to load, then select the configuration for use. The first time you connect, Android may ask to approve a VPN connection request. Check that it is for the right app, then allow it. If another network client is already connected, disconnect it before testing to avoid multiple apps controlling the network at once and making the issue harder to identify. If the app behaves unexpectedly in the background, check the relevant system settings in the Help Center rather than changing several settings during initial setup.

iOS: Get the download link from the dashboard and add a configuration

First, make sure your account has a valid, unexpired plan. Then open the iOS download link in the dashboard and follow the on-page instructions to install the client. If the link says an active plan is required, return to the overview and check the signed-in account and plan status rather than looking for a public download link. After installing the client, return to the dashboard and import the subscription using the method available on the page.

For automatic import, confirm when iOS asks to open the app. To import manually, find the option to add a subscription or configuration in the client, choose URL import, and paste the full link. Refresh the configuration, check that the route list appears, then connect. If iOS asks to allow adding a VPN configuration, follow the system prompt. Do not use your account password as a route password. You do not need to separate individual route parameters from the subscription unless the client specifically asks you to.

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard and import the subscription as described in the downloads section. For platform-specific details and maintenance, see the Complete Guide. VPNRC supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Install and import on each device you use. There is no device limit, but that does not mean you can share your subscription link publicly.

Connect to a route and verify access

Return to the client’s main screen and confirm that the subscription you just imported is enabled. Choose a route in a region suited to your target service, then connect. For your first connection, keep the client’s recommended default settings and allow any network permissions the system requests. Avoid changing the route, connection mode, and other network settings at the same time; otherwise, even if the issue is resolved, it will be hard to tell which change made the difference.

First, check that the client shows a connected status, then open a site or tool you normally use. If the page loads, you can sign in, and the task works as expected, your connection is verified for that use case. A connected status only confirms what the client reports; the target service may still be affected by account region, service rules, or its own status. It does not guarantee that all content will be accessible.

If a page will not load, first check that your device’s regular internet connection is working. Then make sure the subscription updated successfully and the right configuration is enabled. Keep other settings unchanged and try another route in a suitable region. If only one app is affected, note its name and the full error message rather than deleting all your configurations. If every app is affected, check system connection permissions and whether another network tool is running at the same time.

Test streaming services and AI tools separately. Available content can depend on a platform’s region and account requirements, and being able to open an AI website does not guarantee that API requests will work. For initial setup, just confirm that you can complete the task you need. For split tunneling, a fixed exit route, or app-specific details, visit Connection and Troubleshooting Help instead of turning basic setup into a complicated configuration exercise.

Once the connection works, you’re done with this tutorial. For everyday use, keep an eye on your data and plan status in the dashboard, refresh the subscription if the route list changes, and get the client download link from the dashboard when setting up another device. If you can’t identify an issue, open a dashboard support ticket and include your operating system, client, error message, and troubleshooting steps. Hide your subscription link.
